Clear, calm answers to the questions most people have before they ever walk in.

What is Islam?

Islam is a way of life centered on the belief in one God — the same God worshipped by Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. The word Islam means peace and willing submission to God. A person who follows Islam is called a Muslim.

Muslims believe God sent prophets throughout history with the same core message: worship the Creator alone and live with justice and mercy. Islam isn't seen as a new religion, but as the final chapter of that one long message.

The Five Pillars

Everyday Muslim life rests on five simple commitments:

1
FaithBelief in one God
2
PrayerFive times daily
3
CharityGiving to those in need
4
FastingThe month of Ramadan
5
PilgrimageHajj to Mecca

Who is a Muslim?

A Muslim is simply anyone who believes in one God and tries to live by His guidance. Muslims come from every country, culture, and color — your neighbor, your doctor, your child's teacher. There is no single "look" of a Muslim.

What happens inside a mosque?

A mosque (masjid) is a place of prayer and community. When you visit, you'll be asked to remove your shoes and dress modestly. You're welcome to watch the prayer, ask questions, and take your time. That's it — no pressure, no obligation.
